Our recent recruitment campaign has been a great success, and has seen members of the branch leafleting outside almost every university building over the past few weeks. It has been a very worthwhile exercise, allowing us to speak to colleagues and hear their views on the union and what we should be doing to make it more responsive. We have handed out many membership forms, and gained many signatures to our petition to protect education from cuts.

We have also undertaken a full programme of all-staff lunchtime meetings across the two campuses,  encouraging non-members to attend and tell us their views. These meetings have resulted in several new members signing up, and some useful feedback.
